Santa Cruz... Although David works there, we don't get over the hill as a family much these days. David had to go to court to close a big case Tuesday afternoon so the kids and I tagged along. We dropped Dave off at the court house and grabbed some food. A short while later he was done, and we drove down the street to the boardwalk! I think the last time I went to the boardwalk was when Nicole was in my belly and I was 9 months pregnant! Since its not "Summer hours" yet, only a few rides were open that were kid friendly. So we rode the few we could, ate a little boardwalk food, played some games in the arcade and along the beach. After David drove us through his "beat" of town. The weather was so warm and sunny we stopped in Aptos at Rio Del Mar beach. I packed towels and swimsuits for the kids juuuust in case. Moms always gotta think ahead! Rio Del Mar is known for the cement ship. Dave and I kids collected shells and jelly fish. I got pooped on by a seagull... so nasty. We stayed lounging and laying out until sunset. What a nice afternoon we had. I think I'll be taking the kids to the beach a lot more this Summer.
