Happy third birthday our princess!
Nicole's third birthday was Saturday 9/17 a day before her actual birthday. We spend the afternoon with a petting zoo (goats, chickens, rooster, pea hen, bunny, ducks), a BBQ of pulled pork sandwiches, corn, watermelon, beans, bread pudding, apple pie, cake, cup cakes. Yum just writing that again makes me hungry! :)
Everyone was dressed to impress with their best western wear. I think Colie enjoyed herself. The end of the day she looked at me and said "This was the best birthday ever". As much as a three year can feel, it made me so happy to know she thought it was her best birthday yet! Thank you to all our friends and family who came and surrounded Colie with love. Unfortunately Dave had to leave mid party as a law enforcement's schedule changes so often.
Now, come Sunday 9/18- Colie's actual birthday. We went to church first. Came home, kids napped and we headed off to the Santa Cruz Country Fair. I haven't been to a Fair in a long time. We walked in smelled the pop corn, saw the TALL lady on stilts, the concession stands, the animals, the largest award winning pumpkins... etc.. What a fun day. Dinner consisted of hot dogs and Cinnamon rolls. Nicole got to ride her first big girl ride with Daddy.
We had a fun weekend celebrating our big three year old. Love you Colie!
