What a weekEND

This was definitely a long weekend for us. Starting Sunday. Monday I went and had this tooth removed. Sorry if its TMI. But this tooth caused me so much pain for far too long. Its good to no longer have it in my mouth! I was drugged up on Codeine Vicodin, and 800 Ibuprofen. Thankfully my mom was able to drive me, and Dave took time off work to help out. After a couple days I'm feeling great, however the swollen cheek is still a bit puffy.
Now onto the weekend. Our weekend is Tuesday-Friday evening. This weather has been such a tease. Being in the mid 70's for multiple days is such a dream. We've spend the majority of this weekend outside.

Our sweet boy Macoy will have to get a Cranial Remolding helmet. He is very mild, and will only have to wear it the minimum amount of time. (I'll copy in part of the email i sent to family just explaining)
Well, Monday morning I met with a plastic surgeon who also is a specialist for baby's with a flat head aka "Cranial remolding".

At the appointment he assured us this is VERY common his own nephew has a flat head. It starts when the baby is in the mother womb , they find a comfortable position and it sticks with them, Macoy LOVES to sleep on his right now, therefore leaving his right back side FLAT. They measured 4 times and the same result each time, The flatness is VERY mild the scales are 1-10 normal, 11-15 mild, 15+ severe, Macoy was at an 11. So the doctor gave me a choice, and said Macoy would benefit for wearing one the minimum amount of time. A little under 3 months (9-10 weeks or so). The example he showed me was a cardboard box, when you push one of the sides in, it pops out somewhere else. Well that's what happening to him, as the back right side goes in, the front of his right side barely sticks out further than his left. Apparently its extremely common... he'll have to wear the helmet about 20-22 hours a day. Not too bad, he'll get some vitamin D on his precious head during the day when I can take it off.

As you see Colie eating this delicious cookie, We are in the process of potty training. She has gone on the potty 2-4 times a day at least. We are really going for it this time. There have been accidents and messes, but with each correct time we reward her!

On Thursday David packed up a picnic and we loaded the kids in the car and went to have lunch and enjoy the fresh air and warm weather. Here are some pictures from that...

Today Friday, After the kids awoke from their naps we decided its too beautiful to be inside so we got on some hiking gear, loaded up a backpack of waters, snacks, first aid kit, blankets, etc... and went for a nice long hike. Hiking with a double stroller is NOT easy. David pushed most of the time, especially uphill. What a beautiful view up there.

After such a busy weekend Macoy fell asleep in his bouncer... this was too precious to not take a picture of.
Some of you may remember when Colie was this age she was obsessed with her Whoozit toy, we called it her doedoe bird, Well this green Frog is Macoy's GO-TO toy. He LOVES it, will spend his day chewing, and holding this Frog.
Love spending time with my family, I truly feel blessed... May 2011 bring many more warm days, outdoor fun, health, friends, family & lots of love!
